Q: What is a split delivery? A: Split delivery is a service that allows you to split a single order and have it delivered to multiple addresses. For example, if you order 1,000 books, you can send them to several different locations. (This is also known as a Pac And Collate)
Q: What is the cost per additional address? A: The cost is £9 per address Inc VAT
Q: What is the maximum number of addresses I can use? A: You can split your order across a maximum of 10 addresses.
Q: Is this service available on all turnaround times? A: No, split delivery is only available on orders with a 3-4 working day turnaround.
Q: Does split delivery affect the turnaround time? A: Yes, because the process is manual, it adds an additional day to the turnaround time.
How to Place a Split Delivery Order
Q: How do I select the split delivery option when placing an order? A:
- Place your order as you normally would on the website.
- In the basket area, choose the "split delivery" option from the delivery options menu.
- Select your delivery addresses from the drop-down menu.
Q: What happens after I place the order? A: After your order is placed, you will be emailed a blank CSV file to fill in with the address information for each location.
How to Fill in the CSV File
Q: Which columns do I need to fill out in the CSV? A: You need to complete columns D through K, which are highlighted in blue on the provided template.
Q: How many rows do I need to fill in? A: The number of rows you need to fill in depends on the number of delivery addresses. For example, if you have 3 delivery addresses, you will need to complete three rows.
Q: Where do I specify the quantity for each address? A: Use Column L to enter the quantity of items that need to go to each address.
Q: What if my order has multiple jobs? A: If you have more than one job on the order, do not fill in Column L. Instead, you must email the quantities for each job and address along with the completed CSV file to sales@route1print.co.uk.
Q: What should I do after completing the CSV file? A: Please save the CSV file without changing its format and email it to sales@route1print.co.uk. Once received, our team will load it onto our system for processing.
