Q1: What is a GMG?

A1: A GMG is a GMG ColourProof. Its purpose is to provide an accurate representation of how the colours in your artwork will appear on the final printed piece. It's an essential tool for verifying colour accuracy before committing to a full production run.

Q2: What is the cost of GMG proofs?

A2: GMG proofs are priced at £5 per sheet.

Q3: Is there a delivery charge for GMG proofs?

A3: Yes, a delivery charge of £5 applies to GMG proof orders. For instance, a single sheet with delivery would total £10.

Q4: Which paper stocks are available for GMG proofs?

A4: We offer GMG proofs on either 250gsm silk or 250gsm uncoated stock.

Q5: Can GMG proofs be printed double-sided?

A5: No, GMG proofs are strictly single-sided only.

Q6: Is lamination available for GMG proofs?

A6: No, we do not offer lamination on GMG proofs.

Q7: What is the physical size of a GMG proof sheet?

A7: Each GMG proof sheet is approximately 230mm x 420mm.

Q8: Do GMG proofs represent litho or digital colour?

A8: GMG proofs are designed to accurately represent both litho and digital colour profiles, as they leverage our core colour management system.

Q9: How large does the artwork print onto the GMG sheet?

A9: The image on the GMG sheet will be scaled down to fit within the 230mm x 420mm dimensions, as a colour bar is also integrated onto the proof. The exact image size can vary depending on the original artwork's dimensions, as the colour bar and image proportions are not always consistent.

If a larger proof size is required, this needs to be escalated to production. In such cases, the artwork file would be included directly on the production ticket rather than routed through the standard folder system. Please note that a larger proof size would likely incur an additional charge for the client.
