Finding and Downloading Price Lists
Q1: Do you offer price lists that I can give to my clients or use for my own quotes?
A1: Yes, absolutely! We provide comprehensive price lists designed specifically for our trade partners. These are all available directly on our website. You'll find them in a couple of key places:
- On specific product pages: If you're looking at a particular product, like "A5 Flyers," you'll often find a link to download its specific price list right there. For example, you can visit the Flyers page and look for a download link.
- Under the 'Reseller Tools' menu: This is your dedicated hub as a trade client. Just log in and navigate to the Print Reseller Tools section. Within this area, you'll find a link to download our various price lists. Look for sections related to 'Tools' or 'Resources'.
Q2: Can anyone just download these price lists from the website?
A2: No, to keep our trade pricing exclusive to genuine print resellers, you'll need to be logged in to your Route 1 Print trade account to download any of our price lists. This ensures you're seeing your special trade prices. If you don't have an account yet, it's quick and easy to register for one!
Q3: What format do the price lists download in, and what do they look like?
A3: All our price lists download as Microsoft Excel files (.xlsx). This format is chosen because it makes it incredibly easy for you to:
- Sort: Arrange prices by quantity, paper type, or turnaround.
- Filter: Quickly find specific product combinations.
- Integrate: Copy and paste data into your own quoting software or spreadsheets.
When you open an Excel price list, you'll see a structured table. It typically includes columns for:
- Product ID / SKU: Our unique code for each product combination.
- Description: A clear breakdown of the product (e.g., A5, 130gsm Gloss, Double-Sided).
- Quantity: The number of items in that specific price tier.
- Price: The cost for that quantity and specification (ex-VAT).
- Turnaround Times: Prices often vary by how quickly you need the job (e.g., Saver, Standard, Express).
- VAT Rate: A column indicating if VAT applies (e.g., '20' for standard rate).
Q4: How is VAT handled on your price lists?
A4: All the prices displayed on our downloadable lists are ex-VAT (excluding VAT). This is standard practice in trade printing. If a product is subject to the standard VAT rate, you'll clearly see a '20' in the VAT rate column. This means you'll need to add 20% VAT on top of the listed price when you're quoting or invoicing your own clients for standard-rated products.
Understanding Price List Structure
Q5: Do you have one giant price list that covers absolutely all products?
A5: No, we don't provide one single, massive price list that covers every single product and option we offer.
- Why not? Most of our print products have a huge number of variables (different sizes, paper types, finishes like lamination or Spot UV, quantities, turnaround speeds, etc.). Each unique combination has its own specific price, which we track using a 'SKU' (Stock Keeping Unit).
- The sheer scale: If we tried to put all these prices into one file, it would be incredibly large. For example, our flyers alone have over 48,000 unique prices! A single, enormous file would be extremely difficult to download, open, process, or even send by email.
Q6: So, how are the price lists organised then, if not one big one?
A6: Because of the sheer volume of options, our price lists are smartly organised by individual product type. This means you'll find separate Excel lists for specific categories like:
- Flyers
- Business Cards
- Brochures
- Posters
- Roller Banners
- And many more...
This structure allows you to download just the specific list you need for a particular project, making it far more manageable and useful for your day-to-day quoting and business operations.
