What is Correx?
Correx is an extruded twinwall fluted/corrugated polypropylene sheet and offers efficient solutions to a wide variety of applications. It is favoured by industry for its lightweight structure and competitive pricing. It has largely been used for marketing products since 1972.
It is most often used for Estate Agent type signs!
Can my client request the flute direction?
LF = Long flute means that the "flutes" follow the longest dimension of the print, this is typically vertical.
SF = Short flute means that the "flutes" follow the shortest dimension, this is typically horizontal.
You will need to request this, please see the process at the bottom of this page.
Do we print directly onto the board?
Yes, we print directly onto the correx material.
Benefits to correx?
Waterproof: This feature makes correx boards perfect for outdoor use as they are resistant to rain and moisture, thus increasing their lifespan.
Non-toxic and chemical resistant: Another feature that makes correx boards more environmentally friendly is that they are toxin-free.
Crack-resistant: These boards are designed to be tough and durable, making them resistant to outdoor factors such as strong winds, sunshine and temperature variations
Economical: Correx boards are cost-effective and, as they are fully recyclable, can be used an unlimited number of times. This makes them more environmentally friendly too.
What is the maximum sheet size?
1850mm x 1250mm is maximum sheet size 1800 x 1200mm largest finished size
Drilled correx
All drilled correx jobs should be booked on as CAD cut square and drilled, not square trimmed.
Can we do bespoke sizes on this?
Yes, no larger than max finished size
Can we do A4 Correx?
Yes, however it will be printed on a Large Format Press - therefore won't be designed for fine text or imagery.
If client asks for smaller than A4 we would advise against this.
How are they delivered?
Flat pack
Signage and Display over 1000 x 1500 have to be dispatched via courier as we do not hold packaging large enough for this.
Can we request what direction the flutes will go in for a client?
No.
