What products are glued or taped?

-Items to be taped/glued are; presentation folders; table talkers; tent cards and strut cards.

What machine is this done on?

-The machine we use for all taping of items is named the Moll Versa Fold, integrated with it’s Perf and Crease model.

Step by step guide to the Moll:

Glued presentation folders

The Moll has a flat pile feeder and is top fed. At first, the tab is folded over and glue is applied to the tab. Air is blown from the underneath of the Moll to push the paper against the plastic barrier. Upon the paper going under the barrier, the glue then sticks the tab down, before the runner then creases and folds the folder in half.

Taping

The Moll has a flat pile feeder and is top fed. The taping is a simpler procedure than the gluing, in which the tape is applied to the paper when the tape applicator senses the paper. The operator sets how much tape is to be used. This will vary dependent on the size of product.

Key facts of the Moll Versa fold:

Can work with a paper weight of between 140gsm and 500gsm.

Minimum product size it can produce on is 139mm x 139mm

Maximum product size is 762mm x 762mm

Maximum speed is a huge 130 metres per minute.

Is the tape double sided?

Yes the tape used is double sided tape.
