Print Methods - Routing

Created by Daniel Plant, Modified on Tue, 23 Jul, 2024 at 11:45 AM by Ashley Doughty

Print Methods can not be guaranteed. A client can not order based on a specific print method.

We can use the below as guidance by product, but in all cases we must educate our client around this.

For example, if we guarantee a booklet will be printed litho - and a litho press goes down, this job may be re-routed to a different machine like the Truepress. The client would be unhappy that we printed the job in a different way to what we advised, however, as we can't allow clients to order products on a specific press - the job would still be correct.

FOR GUIDANCE ONLY - NOT GUARANTEED - CLIENT MUST BE EDUCATED:

Anything above 2500 in quantity will generally go Litho, with the exceptions of:

BCs default to Jetpress unless a huge quantity – This will be changing to the new Landa when its up and running

Creative stocks default to Indigo unless a huge quantity

Die-Cut below 250 quantity defaults to Indigo, Above that quantity Litho

All 450gsm defaults to Jetpress but Indigo sometimes picks some up - This will be changing to the new Landa when its up and running

Quantities between 500 and 2500 is the grey area where dependant on stock and capacity and the specs of the job, can go either way.

Anything below quantities of 500 will most likely go Digital apart from the exceptions laid out above.
